Project Budgeting

When thinking about remodeling your home you want to make sure you can afford it, especially in times of economic hardships. To make sure you can accomplish the adjustments or improvements you desire, it's a good idea to plan a remodeling budget. You don't want to cause yourself to struggle financially so think about factors such as how long you plan on living in your home. If you intend to live there for ten years or more, it is worth the time and money to invest in renovations to create your dream home. You want to develop a budget that does not strain your current lifestyle of living but also accomplishes your remodeling objective and desires.

Keep in mind that there is a wide range of materials for flooring, counter tops, cabinets, appliances, etc. that vary in cost from one end of the spectrum to the other. If you know what type of quality of materials you are looking for, it helps us to make a realistic estimate for your project. Be aware that occasionally there are costs that are unaccounted for such as . . . if safety issues are discovered with plumbing, electricity or heating and cooling. In our initial walk-through we always look for any problems that might arise but can't guarantee that we won't stumble upon something later that isn't up to code or is a fire or safety hazard that must be addressed. We take every precaution to make sure this does not happen, but we want you be to aware of the possibility.
